Coach Jay Barbara’s love for the game started at a young age when he played little league and high school ball. He found his true passion in coaching when he began coaching his own son, Brody. Jay coached at Steel Sports from 2016 to 2017, Longwood Youth Baseball and Travel from 2017-2023, and has now been with 5 Star since 2024. In his stint with Longwood, he coached his Williamsport Travel Team to the District Finals in both 2019 and 2021. That team also won numerous tournaments in his tenure there. Jay’s commitment to his players is what sets him apart from other coaches and we are happy his has found his home here at 5 Star. He brings knowledge, energy and fun to the field every day and he strives to make his players better on the field, but most importantly, off the field.
